DOC FOSTER BAND από την ανεξάρτητη σκηνή της Λειψίας
You can select a concert of your liking from a pop-magazine or cultural event calendar and go have your vanilla fun – like any other decent evening. Or, you can duck into a wasted alley, and be drawn by the muffled bass and stench to a reeking, steamy lot, where a sound like Alice’s mind-fucked caterpillar hypnotizes your organs. You never looked for this sound, never wanted it, and yet you stay because your pulse needs this rhythm, because you can’t move from this voodoo trash orgy. The sound in this scene is the Doc Foster Band.
The band: four Greek ex-pornstars, morbid pulchritude, psychedelic sound and constant masquerade. Its concept: repulsion. The band is an audiovisual experiment, the soundtrack to its own carnival – grinding guitar effects and a subversive sense of humor, VHS-style. Where you’re swimming in bands you’ll search for an atoll. Leipzig’s atoll is the Doc Foster Band. Down this wasted alley, in this reeking lot you will find grunting and smacking . . . putridly appealing. The video release of “Loiterer” (7" Vinyl) is the crowning finale of the first season of the Doc Tapes; a documentary about the band and Leipzig’s independent scene. To be continued. . .

We are from Athens, Greece though one of us is currently located in the US
We started in the fall of 2011
We released our 1st demo (june-juyl 2012) and we are still going!

THE PINK TANK PROJECT
Οι “The Pink Tank Project” σχηματίστηκαν το Μάιο του 2006 και πρόκειται για ολιγομελές γκρουπ ομαδικής ψυχοθεραπείας. Ασθενείς είναι ο Κοκ (τύμπανα), η Άφρο (μπάσο), ο Μουζ (κιθάρα)… και φωνάζουν όλοι μαζί. Η μουσική υπόκρουση, κατά τις συνεδρίες τους, περιφέρεται στο χώρο του εναλλακτικού ροκ με αγγλόφωνες μουσικές ιδιοκατασκευές και επιρροές από Calexico, Stooges, Tom Waits, Pixies κ.λπ. Τόσο ο λόγος όσο και η βάση ύπαρξης του γκρουπ (therapy) είναι η σιωπηρή συμφωνία μεταξύ των τριών ασθενών ότι δε θα δυσκοιλιούν ούτε θα υπεκφεύγουν την κατάθεση όσων δεν τολμούν να πουν οπουδήποτε αλλού! Το 2011 βγάζουν τον πρώτο ομώνυμο δίσκο αλλά οι συναυλιακές εμπειρίες είναι πάντα προτεραιότητα. Έτοιμοι να τα τινάξουν όλα στον αέρα!
Το φυτίλι έχει ήδη ανάψει. Το πρώτο mini LP των ANFO που θα παρουσιαστεί , μαζί με το νέο υλικό της μπάντας, έχει ως κορμό του την ουσιαστική απλότητα και το ανοιχτό πνεύμα του επαναστατικού Rock n Roll.

Τα μέλη των ANFO έχουν μεγάλη θητεία σε γνωστές αθηναϊκές μπάντες, όπως, το ΑΔΙΕΞΟΔΟ, οι Deus Ex Machina, οι My Turn, οι NoMind κλπ.
Οι ANFO είναι οι :

Mπάσο-φωνητικά : Νίκος Χαραλαμπόπουλος – «Τσουλούφης»

Μαζί τους οι Pink Tank Project, στην πρώτη τους εμφάνιση μετά από απουσία ενός χρόνου.
